Irina was engaged in elaboration of project LIFE + LIFE08 ENV/BG/000286 “Demonstration of a system for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment BULGARIA ” which had been started in 2010. She participated in elaboration of legislative changes and discussions in Bulgarian Chamber for Recycling, assembly of traders with scrap metals, etc and preparation of all technical documentation for environment and waste management audit for ISO 14001.

Member of the Technical Commission in charge of Assisting Municipalities in the Treatment of Solid Wastes in the districts of Cascais, Oeiras and Sintra – A.M.T.R.E.S. Member of the Technical Commission in charge of Assisting Municipalities for the Study of Solid Waste Treatment for the districts of Amadora, Lisbon, Loure.
